Hello Billy....
I really appreciate this entry ...your writing about "The Voice"...strikes more than one chord for me.
I am back in Edmonton...after wandering south of the border for more than a year. Some wonderful memories and some not so memorable...as I allowed my grief journey to take me to the desert of Arizona and the cold of Minnesota. This "time out" helped me to re-discover the roots I'd planted in Edmonton more than 35 years earlier. I am back! Teaching 21 VOICE lessons weekly (helping people find their own singing voices) and clowning as "Christy"....speaking and singing for groups of women who are trying to turn their lives around (women's shelter, etc) and in all this activity still trying to find the self-discipline to finish writing my own story (s). Expressing my own Voice. I believe it will come...but knowing how time evaporates...the urgency button is flashing! Groundhog day was my 72nd b'day...but I refuse to "act my age".

One New Years' resolution I made is to once again incorporate Laughter Yoga into my work...and daily life. Laughter has literally saved my life...(along with tears and singing/acting).
"Under the Makeup It's Me"...is the title for my story...and it is too full of Miracles and Warrior (not Horror) stories not to tell it every chance I get. No problem speaking it...but but trying to get onto the printed page has intimidated me for years...(that is ...my own written version of the adventures of survival of what has stolen far too many lives)

YOU are an inspiration to all who know you! Thank you for the encouragement that comes from your VOICE...thoughts...teaching.

I will re-read these thoughts on finding my own voice...and look forward to the wisdom I will gain from processing it all.

I really like the feeling, fuel and focus. They are quick, impactful and they sound good. Sounds like a great starting point from which to drill down into.

I have the same issue with allotting time to things like dog walks. I need to start playing without the timer. Thanks for the inspiration.
